Juan has gone above and beyond with patient care. Juan will always go out of his way to comfort and console both his patients and his patient's family members. This weekend Juan was exceptionally above and beyond. Juan took care of a 19 years old patient who has been in the ICU for 87.5 Days. Needless to say his course has been complicated. With the approval from the trauma team, Juan took the patient off the unit to go outside to the garden. The patient stated he loved the smell of Starbucks even though he couldn't drink the coffee; Juan got him a cup to smell. The 2 of them enjoyed their coffee in the garden together. The following day, Juan gave the patient makeshift sugar scrub pedicure. He is extraordinary!
