Juanice is awesome. I had the pleasure of getting to see how she cares for those teeny tiny miracles in the NICU first hand. My floor had a very special mother who had only days left to spend with her precious new baby girl. Juanice and her entire unit coordinated with us to bring our patient in her adult bed to spend priceless moments with her. They moved incubators in different sections, padded baby in mama's chest just so she would be warm and my patient could hold her as normal as possible. Juanice was constantly checking baby to make sure she stayed the right temperature, was breathing on her ventilator properly and keeping the baby and mother comfortable.
I am greatly honored to see Juanice do what she does best; be the best nurse under challenging circumstances and all the while making my dying patient's wishes come true. She is truly special we are fortunate to have her with our special miracles that just started to live.
