Juanita is always positive and so empathetic towards patients/family members, making them feel at ease during emotional situations. This one patient in particular had severe issues. So, Juanita politely came into the patient's room during my visit with the patient and stated a prayer with the patient and the patient's family. We all held hands during the prayer and the patient became emotional (so did I). This was such a touching experience as it made the patient, patient's family, and me as a Dietitian feel like we were truly a team.
And speaking of "teams," Juanita is always asking us from the Nutrition Department about our opinions regarding the state of nutrition/malnutrition of patients with chronic issues. I've only worked at Grandview for four months now but have had several great interactions with this RN.
