Juanita Martinez, BSN, CCRN

Juanita is a true COVID Warrior who throughout the height of the pandemic showed an outstanding amount of perseverance. During the pandemic, ECRMC began to train ICU staff on CRRT, for which Juanita quickly became an ambassador. Juanita learned as much as she could during the classes and even started one of the first CRRT treatments. She has helped the team improve our order sets, protocols, and charting. She is currently one of our Super-Users who took on the initiative to excel in this skill. Juanita embraced this skill fully with the purpose of giving our COVID patients an opportunity to survive this deadly virus. She is an excellent nurse who strives to give her patients the best care in every way she can. Juanita took this new skill and raised the standards to the highest level. She is the true embodiment of a DAISY Award and has served this organization since 1984.
