Juanita knew a patient was being discharged and after her shift, she went to the store and purchased clothes and a warm jacket for him. He was a homeless man going to a skilled nursing facility. He will only be there for a short time and Juanita had the thoughtfulness and time to purchase several items for him (pants, shirt, socks, and a jacket). This was such a surprise to the patient; it made his day. All of us colleagues of Juanita appreciate her compassion, energy, and kindness. This is truly the "spirit" of caring for those in need.
