Judith was an advocate and an excellent nurse who treated me as a whole person.
I was placed in her care before and after gallbladder removal. She worked 7p-7a the 3 nights I was there. The difference between her and the day shift was immeasurable. She listened to me, acknowledged my concerns, and treated my pain without issue. The day shift nurse would ask the surgeon to lower my pain medication after having been kept comfortable overnight with Judith. I was miserable. I am a chronic pain patient and take morphine and oxycodone daily. The entire motivation of the day shift nurses was to have me on Tylenol for any pain or discomfort. Judith was an advocate and an excellent nurse who treated me as a whole person and did not try to be counterintuitive to my regular medication schedule like the other nurses. She was phenomenal and I would love to see her recognized. Her upbeat and bubbly personality was a joy to not only myself but her coworkers and peers employed at the hospital.
