Judy is truly extraordinary. I have not experienced a more compassionate, caring, thoughtful, and competent nurse. She cared for my mom once and for me twice in the Express Unit. She was consistently patient-focused. Her care for her patient's comfort while taking precise care of their medical needs is outstanding. She got us warm blankets more than once if we wanted them (without us asking, she offered). She made sure we had the nourishment we needed.

She asked and genuinely listened and cared about our life and our family. When I shared that I was caregiving for my mother and struggling with some end-of-life decisions, she offered (and did) have the hospital nurse who handles that come talk to me and give me information. The next time I was in, my mom had just passed away and she allowed me to talk about it and process/share with her.

Judy introduced herself the first time we met when she came into the room. She explained the procedure and what side effects to look for, which helped put me at ease to know what would be normal and what would not. She gave me options when possible, simple things like which finger/hand I wanted the oximeter on. I felt very connected and well cared for. She even tried to help me find a charger for my phone when the battery went down because I was there longer than I expected. I also observed she was always kind, respectful, and professional when it came to her co-workers. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
