Judith, you are the most amazing woman and a terrific specialist.
My daughter was diagnosed with diabetes when she was 11 months old at Sidra. We left Qatar in 2020, but to this very day, we remember the excellent treatment and care we received at Sidra. I’m writing this with immense appreciation and thankfulness to Dr. K and all the nurses and specialists who helped us to learn how to manage my daughter’s diabetes. In this letter, I will try to find the right words to express my deepest gratitude to our Nurse Judith for her incomparable and quality patient care; it is a delicate balance of knowing how to deliver diabetes information at a specific time. This nurse had relentless responsiveness to the present day, a sense of humor, light energy, simplicity, positivity, and a cheerful character. I think the list can go on, but it is important to highlight some of them because now when I look back, I know all this and more contributed to a more positive recovery experience and definitely improved my mental and physical state during the first years of diagnosis.

I have met so many mothers of diabetic children from different parts of the world. I realized that most of them were discharged without basic diabetes management knowledge: carbs count, ISF or ICR etc. They also didn’t know how to inject their children, and so much more. I always knew I was blessed with the best diabetes educator but having met so many desperate and weeping mothers, I felt the need to share this letter of appreciation. Judith, you are the most amazing woman and a terrific specialist. Thank you very much!
