...I had emergency open heart surgery for a dissected aorta. Prior to this unexpected surgery, I was so unsure of the outcome that I made a "good-bye" video to my kids while in the ER awaiting surgery.
After surgery, in ICU, Judy Evanoff took incredibly great care of me. I was in a lot of pain from the surgery as well as a pinched nerve in my neck. Judy was there for my every need as fast as I could make a request. She had a great attitude and helped me keep a positive outlook during my recovery. I know I was a bit whiny and even a pain in the butt to take care of but she was great the whole time. I so appreciate the fact that she worked 12 hour shifts; and no disrespect to the other nurses, but I missed her when she wasn't there. She did an awesome job!
