Illness is difficult to accept, especially when the diagnosis is cancer. As a 78-year-old cancer patient, I know. A nurse's job is to be more than proficient and competent in the role of nursing, it is also to be compassionate and understanding of what the patient is going through. Judy administers my chemo, and she is an exemplary nurse, but above all, she is warm and loving. On top of that, she has a wonderful sense of humor and finds a way to make this difficult situation a little easier for me. She also cares deeply for her patients and puts them first. She has come in on her day off to administer the chemo just for me. Never have I experienced such caring.
