I was at GSAM hospital in Downers Grove for outpatient surgery. My nurse before the procedure was Judith. If you look up the word nurse in the dictionary her photo should be next to it. She was everything that a nurse should be: kind, funny, patient and took the time to explain anything that I had questions about. I truly felt like I was her only patient. When I informed her that I was a 52-year-old baby when it comes to needles, she used the tiniest little needle and cold sprayed the back of my hand before inserting the IV. I cannot say enough good things about her. This nurse really was terrific! Having someone like that before going into my procedure was so comforting. She settled any anxiety that I was feeling with her warmth and humor.
