Judith Kyarisiima, RN

Judith is a nurse leader and administrator of the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Union who doubles as a unit manager in the midwifery department in the Referral Regional Hospital. She has demonstrated good leadership and mentorship skills to the midwives and nurses both in the University Teaching Hospital and to the junior midwives in the department. She is an advocate of safe motherhood and has worked tirelessly to promote midwifery services in the region and country at large. She has advocated for improved terms and conditions of service for the nurses and midwives of Uganda and has held good results. Her love for the profession has attracted many young people to join midwifery.
