November 2017 Honoree
judy arkwright, RN
My husband had a hip replacement and spent 5 days on the 6th floor following surgery. Due to a setback, he had to spend two additional days at Saint Vincent.
Judy was a knowledgeable, capable, confident advocate for my husband. Any questions or concerns from him were addressed quickly by Judy. A question arose about a medication mix up, which was not only handled by Judy, but she also shared the same concerns.
She is truly a tribute to her profession. When I left the hospital for any period of time, she was quick to greet me with an update about his medications, vital signs, and other updates.
Judy stood out to me because of her constant unceasing care and the compassion she showed him. Nursing is a demanding job that requires being on top of your game during an entire shift. Judy was certainly on her game!

Thank you, Judy, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
