The excellent treatment the patients receive is only enhanced by Judy's thoughtfulness and patience.
Judy Santelices demonstrated the following:
1) She exemplifies trust and confidence in leading nurses to join the NOVA and going out of her way to recruit and disseminate the positive benefits not only for the veterans but for the healthcare workers as well.
2) Judy was instrumental in encouraging nurses for advocating for the veterans’ well-being and for the nurses, LPNS, and nurse aides who serve the veterans. She urged other nurses to join her in advocating for the veterans and the health care workers at Capitol Hill in their own free time (days off or annual leave).
3) Judy is an inspiration as she treats everyone with dignity and respect, and always putting a happy face despite her hectic schedule, juggling between work, and helping other nurses to be their best in volunteering for the veterans and the community.
4) Judy always strives for the highest quality of nursing by setting up webinars; encouraging other nurses to step up by attending conferences, and participating in activities, such as presenting abstracts for continuous growth and improvement.
5) Judy works at the beside as well on a medical-surgical unit displaying the ICARE values. She goes above and beyond to make sure her patient needs are met. The excellent treatment the patients receive is only enhanced by Judy's thoughtfulness and patience.
Judy is a constant source of inspiration for me in regard to the value of connection, empathy, and patient-centered care. Judy has been an incredible mentor and provider of excellent care to my patients.
