Judy came to meet my mom before the biopsy the Friday before she was to start chemo. She introduced herself and told my mom and me exactly what to expect on Monday. She had also requested the blood she needed to start the chemo when my mom was there for the biopsy, one less stick is always a blessing. Monday, she was there waiting for us and explained every step of the treatment, including what to expect, and how long we would be there (especially nice for me as driver/caregiver). Thursday, she arranged to have blood drawn rather than send my mom to Quest, and when a blood transfusion was deemed necessary, she had everything efficiently arranged for Friday, including having a stretcher in the room instead of a recliner because she noticed my mom's increasing fatigue. Judy also arranged the weekend appointments for chemo at Main and had a nurse who used to work at Main tell us exactly where to go so all would go as smoothly as possible.
It is these small acts of efficiency, information, compassion, and competence that made a very trying week quite bearable. We even kind of miss not seeing her today. Judy assured us she would be waiting for us in August when we returned and made sure all of those appointments were set up. You have put together an exceptional team at north.
