She always has an encouraging word for us, and she is truly one of our greatest cheerleaders. She has absolutely made a lasting impact on me, and I only pray that I can be even 1/2 the nurse and overall amazing human being that she is.
She is genuine, caring, helpful, and actually seems to care about us students. She is genuine and truthful and honest and kind in her interactions be it in person or via email and does not ever talk down to us or ignore any of our thoughts or issues. She legit listens to students and wants to do right by students and actually loves teaching. If there is one teacher in the whole entire business of nursing school that embodies the true teaching spirit, it is her. She is extremely knowledgeable and the world of Labor & Delivery (and UALR) is made infinitely times brighter with her wisdom and presence. She's real, authentic, and extremely loved and respected by many a student.

Mrs. Staley is an amazing instructor, but an even better human being. She always gives her students 100% of herself while teaching. There was one class where her PawPaw had been in a terrible tractor accident, and they didn’t know if he would make it. Rather than leaving and asking one of the other instructors to cover her content, she stayed and still managed to smile throughout the lecture.

Aside from being a selfless instructor, she’s also an amazing human being altogether. While in her class, I unexpectedly found myself in the middle of a divorce. She hugged me, made sure I was ok and encouraged me. She didn’t stop caring when I left her class either. She still checks on me and gives me a hug every time she sees me. Mrs. Staley has truly changed my life and I hope one day to be 1/2 the nurse she is!

Mrs. Staley's heart and love for her field and people make her not only a wonderful Nurse and instructor but a wonderful person with a heart of gold. She makes believing in yourself easy when things get a little hard...

***

Mrs. Staley was so helpful in the classroom and in the clinical setting. She was also so helpful, even outside of work hours! She really made OB so much fun. OB is now number 1 on my list of areas to work.

Mrs. Staley is truly one of a kind. Her passion for teaching and helping others is undeniable. From being a SANE nurse, to allowing me to cry on her shoulder during the hardest point in my life, her compassion shines through. She always has an encouraging word for us, and she is truly one of our greatest cheerleaders. She has absolutely made a lasting impact on me, and I only pray that I can be even 1/2 the nurse and overall amazing human being that she is.

Caring and compassionate, great teacher, always smiling, goes above and beyond to be there for every one of her students. Amazing! Made clinical the best experience ever.

I cannot say enough good things about Judy Staley. She is kind, patient, encouraging, and clearly passionate about both L&D nursing and teaching her students. As a clinical instructor, she went above and beyond to provide me with experiences I would not otherwise have gotten- like delivering a baby! She truly cares about her students and gets to know each one of us. I truly hope to be a nurse like Mrs. Staley one day.

Mrs.Staley is the epitome of grace & love for teaching and nursing. She encourages and teaches in a way that is easy to understand the “why”. She is a model teacher and I can only hope to be as good as a nurse as she is!

Mrs. Staley is always so kind & understanding of students. She does not have this stern, tough luck, "nursing is tough so get over it or get out" attitude that can be seen in some nurses/professors. She actually genuinely loves nursing and labor & delivery. Mrs. Staley is very easy to talk to, has the most calming, sincere voice, and is a beautiful person inside and out. If there is 1 faculty member in all 3 of my college careers that I felt made a genuine impact in both of my college degree paths, it was hands down 100% Mrs. Staley. She is the patron saint of OB and teaching and she is overflowing with so much knowledge and wisdom and how to when it comes to teaching, life experiences, and the science/art of nursing. There WILL NEVERRRRR be another Mrs. Staley, she is 1 of a kind (TRULY!) and leaves such an impact on every student that crosses her path. She looks out for every one of her students, and you can assuredly talk to her about any issues without worrying she will underplay your concerns and she will actually take action. She is such a wondrous, iconic person and I am so thankful that I got to be one of her students.
