This instructor exemplifies what true leadership and compassion means as in how an instructor treats her students.  Dr. Labonte does not display bias of any kind and she truly has the student 's best interest at heart.
Dr. Labonte speaks her mind, but in a good way and a student never has to wonder where she stands.
This instructor truly loves her students and strives to see them excel.
Dr. Labonte was instrumental in my journey and I am very blessed to have known her in class and through the mission trip.  Any student is blessed to have her as a nursing instructor. To be an instructor is one thing, but to be one and "shine" is another.
This instructor has helped me grow as a student nurse on more than one occasion throughout my time at the College.  Dr. Labonte is very effective in relating class content to real-life nursing care situations and helped me gain a firm foundation in basic and critical thinking skills. She is an outstanding professor and I will never forget the classes she has taught.
Dr. Labonte has always had an open door policy for her students. She takes the time to ensure that her students understand all concepts in her class.  Her enthusiastic approach makes learning fun! I have always loved to listen to the instructor talk about her nursing experience. She is able to meet each student on their level and creatively bring them up to a proficient level. Dr. Labonte is a great candidate for this award.
