Judy was understanding and stayed calm when I was scared and frustrated and she hugged my mom and me when we needed to be comforted.
I am a mom of 3 and 2-year-old little boys and a 9 week-old little girl. I was admitted to the hospital for low potassium that would not stay at a normal/safe level on its own. Judy spent hours with my mom and me to help us understand what was happening and why we were doing what we were doing to move forward with a plan.
The hospital let the newborn stay with me during my stay and Judy could not have been more accommodating. My mom stayed with me the whole time to help me care for the baby and Judy even made sure she was taken care of. She made sure we had extra food and drinks and linens and toiletries.
I feel like she went above and beyond to help us push for the doctors to dig deeper and help us get to the root of the problem. The doctors tried sending me home twice when my potassium levels continued to drop to critical levels. She was a wealth of knowledge and a great sounding board to give us peace of mind. She helped us push for more tests and more definitive answers.
She got to know me as a person and not just another patient. She was understanding and stayed calm when I was scared and frustrated and she hugged my mom and me when we needed to be comforted. This woman is an angel on earth and deserves to be recognized. I do not know how I would have gotten through this without her knowledge and experience along with her empathy for what I was going through. She even came back to check on me when she had a day off. I am forever grateful. I love Judy!
