Judy VanDyke, RN, North 2, Hackley Campus, is the DAISY Award winner for August. Tracy Brown, Clinical Manager, nominated Judy for her compassion for a patient having a lengthy and difficult labor. Tracy said “Judy stayed with her and was supportive when she was scared.” After her discharge, the patient wrote in a thank-you note, “I had a very hard labor that ended in a c-section and you never left my side…to me, you went above and beyond and even reminded the father to take pictures. Your kindness made a very scary process in my life a little less fearful and for that I am very thankful.” Congratulations, Judy!
