A few years ago my mother underwent brain surgery. She did not speak English, she only spoke Thai. On the first day she woke up and Judy, who speaks Thai, was there with my mother and gave her commands to follow.
My mother was hospitalized a few times since then. Every time she was admitted Judy took exemplary care of her. My mother always enjoyed being at the hospital but not feeling sick. When she saw Judy she felt like she was seeing her favorite dessert (Thai expression). Judy was the only nurse she could speak (Thai) with.
On my mother’s last hospitalization at Lahey, Judy volunteered her personal time to be with us until my mother passed away. Judy’s spirit and compassion has touched our hearts forever.

Thank you, Judy, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
