Nurse Juli has worked relentlessly to provide exceptional care to our son. From our first day of arrival to ACH when we were frightened and stressed about the world of unknowns we were engaging upon with our son born at 25 weeks, Juli was one of the first individuals and nurses that we met. She admitted our son while handling him carefully, greeted us with her kindness, provided information to us about him and different services for our family in a very professional and courteous manner. We were immediately relieved by her interactions and gestures. The next day, just as we hoped and prayed, Juli was back as our son's nurse. We were so relieved which was a stress reducer for all of us. Later, after having a few different nurses over a period of a few weeks, we finally had Juli back again and by this time were told about parents being able to request primary nurses. So, we immediately asked Juli to be our son's primary nurse. Thankfully for our son and us, she agreed.
For the past few months, we have received what we feel is the best care by any nurse. Juli treats our son and our family extremely well. She takes care of his needs with genuine compassion, is very knowledgeable about several things, explains new medications and other changes with our son and provides comfort and a sense of protection of him when she is present. On the days Juli is present as our son's nurse, we are more relieved because we feel he will get the best care possible from one of the best nurses. She always takes the lead on completing or changing things for him instead of waiting for the next nurse to do it. She communicates effectively with this doctors and nurses in order to better care for him and assist us as his parents and family.
These are just a few examples of the ways nurse Juli has helped our son and family. We are truly blessed to have her in our lives to help us through this journey. Thank you for having Juli as a nurse so that our paths could cross at our time of need. Juli's impact on our lives as a nurse for ACH and her own individuality allows us to truly understand personally and via experiences why Arkansas Children's Hospital is recognized for an outstanding honor, Magnet status.

She is the most amazing nurse and person all around! She has taken care of our tiny micro-preemie from the start. She has not only taken care of him medically but emotionally and physically. She has been his surrogate mother when I cannot be there. She has truly loved him like he was her own, bragging to other nurses to come and look how cute and making even the smallest milestone seem like such a big deal. She has touched our lives forever and will always be a part of our family. She has even gone as far as to check on us on her days off or when she couldn't be with us. She has shown nothing but Godly love and I don't even have enough room to say how amazing she truly is.
