Juli is rarely found in her office; instead, she is often in patients’ rooms, providing hands-on care such as giving baths and supporting her team. Juli actively participates in and adds value to several hospital and system initiatives. She has done an extraordinary job leading our Patient Support Collaborative, where she fosters open and honest discussions, coordinates relevant topics, removes barriers, and advances her team’s clinical knowledge and professional growth. Although Juli regularly mentions the complexities of her patient population, this does not deter her or distract her team from achieving their goals and delivering high-quality, compassionate care. Juli mentors and engages all roles on her unit, inspiring each individual to reach their full potential. She is a leader who celebrates her team’s successes, both professionally and personally, and has created one of the strongest cultures at Morton Plant Hospital. Several of Juli’s team members have expressed that they would not stay on this unit or work for any other manager.
