Julie has become a very well rounded and skilled nurse. She consistently upholds the mission and values of our institution by always putting her patients first. Julia has a positive attitude and even in the toughest situations, has a smile on her face. One of the most important roles of the perioperative nurse is to advocate for patients when they are at their most vulnerable. Julia takes this responsibility very seriously and takes every measure necessary to ensure patient safety. Julia is a favorite preceptor for new staff by acting as a role model and taking the time to explain every step of patient care. Julia has a pleasant and calm approach with her patients and their families, putting them at ease during a stressful time. She is a wonderful person and an excellent candidate for the DAISY Award for Nursing Excellence.
