Julia was my nurse for a significant portion of my 10-day stay – I was fresh post-op from a GYN surgery and needed a place to get better. What stood out to me was how she took it to the next level by caring for, supporting, and connecting with both my family and me. She always celebrated the tiniest wins with me when I was trying to find the silver lining, but gave me space to feel sad, frustrated, and overwhelmed when I needed it. She helped me advocate when I was in pain and needed support, but didn't know how to ask for the help I needed. I can't thank her enough for being an integral part of my healing and recovery.

Her conversational nature put us at ease throughout the day. The induction went well, and then she was pulled to the ED for a preterm emergency. When she returned to our room, she was apologetic for her absence and picked up right where she had left off. Upon her return, my son began experiencing heart rate fluctuations. She noticed my worry and put me at ease. The delivery went smoothly, and her encouragement during pushing was supportive and helped keep the room calm. She will likely have numerous deliveries in her career, and we will remember her every time we think back on the day our son came into the world.
