Julia was caring for a patient with a trach when the patient decided to pull his entire trach and collar off/out. Julia immediately called out for the CA to call "acute airway". When help had arrived, they walked into the room to Julia who was already bagging the patient with the proper tools, and stabled the patient for others to put in the new trach. All because of Julia's quick interventions, calm nature, and genuine nursing skill and knowledge this situation truly had the potential to be much more traumatic. Julia is genuinely a Rockstar in my eyes and her nursing skills shined extra bright this evening.
