Julia Desisto, RN

Julia did an excellent job recognizing that a patient’s room was infested with pests, coordinating care for the patient with the medical team in a respectful, efficient manner. She quickly showered and moved the patient, quarantined the room, and inventoried his belongings properly to treat items appropriately for decontamination. In the process, she also identified and removed contraband and dangerous items from the patient’s possession, coordinating with dispatch and leadership in a timely manner. Julia gave dignified, safe care to the patient and followed proper protocol to protect the patient, other patients, herself, and the unit.
