Julia Dwight, BSN, RN

Julia Dwight is simply outstanding. No matter how busy the ED gets overnight she is always calm and collected and goes out of her way to do the right thing for the patient. She is cool under pressure and is efficient. She's proactive and is a great educator to her patients. There are times that I can count on one hand where a trauma patient with neck pain is placed in a neck collar and she has done this on more than one occasion appropriately. She's insightful and continues to demonstrate compassion to patients even when they are verbally being very aggressive. Her triaging is also exceptional and tends to really take the time to hash out a patient's reasons for visit. She assists other nurses when it gets busy and is an excellent communicator. She is also proficient in ultrasound guided IV's which can be incredibly helpful during busy night shifts!
