Time after time Julia Frumkin’s calm, reassuring and knowledgeable interactions with parents during a tense and frightening situation have offered comfort to parents and family. She answers questions and concerns honestly and compassionately. She responded to a recent Code Pink with the subsequent transfer of the newborn to Dartmouth. During the code, stabilization, and transfer of the newborn, the father and family members were present. Dad was encouraged to ask questions and given information relating to his daughter's care. Dad stated that he felt his daughter was in good hands. Julia was professional, compassionate, and family-oriented. She is invested in improving care in the NICU. She identified the need for a Neonatal Resuscitation Instructor and became one. I'd like to nominate extraordinary nurse Julia for the DAISY Award.
