Julia advocated for me and personally called the doctor on staff that night to ensure I was on their radar. That extra care put my mind at such ease. She acted as my advocate without me even asking.
Let me start by saying, Julia is a beautiful person inside and out. She took such good care of me. During my stay, I had a bad infection, and I was really scared. Julia talked with me, and her words just comforted me. I have been going through this breast cancer stuff for 13 months. I’ve met a lot of nice people, but Julia is an angel. I think God meant for us to cross paths. Thank you so much for everything you all do, day in and day out!!! A great hospital.

Five days postpartum was admitted back to OB as I had developed severe preeclampsia. It was a traumatic experience for me as I had experienced HELLP during my first pregnancy. On top of that, my daughter was in the NICU. It was a very stressful and emotional week. Julia was my nurse on my first night in 7 Center. I enjoyed her company, and the level of care she provided, and specifically requested to be her patient the second night J was admitted. It was a breath of fresh air to see her walk through those doors at the shift change knowing I would be in good hands. I had expressed to her my concerns about the dose of my blood pressure medication and how I was worried it may need altered as that was my experience with my first pregnancy. Julia advocated for me and personally called the doctor on staff that night to ensure I was on their radar. That extra care put my mind at such ease. She acted as my advocate without me even asking. That same night I had finished pumping and was SO hungry, but it was almost 1 in the morning. I asked Julia if they by chance had any snacks and she brought me an assortment of different snacks arranged in small containers and called it "Julia charcuterie". We had many laughs, and my stay was so incredibly enjoyable despite the circumstances. I am so grateful for all my nurses however, Julia was truly something special.
