Julia Kellams, BSN, RN

Julia was such a dedicated nurse. She would always have a smile on her face, explain what she was doing, and comfort me so I wasn’t so scared of what was happening. She took the time to have a conversation with me and ease my mind about what was going to happen next. She also would tell a funny story and make me laugh, which made me take my mind off what I was going through. She treated me and my family like family to her. Compassion came easily for her to give. She didn’t just come into the room to do her work as a nurse; she truly cared about me, the patient. You could tell she had been a nurse for many years, as she didn’t just do her work on the computer; she interacted and explained things, and truly cared about the patient. She is a gem for this hospital, and I hope they know what a gem she is.
