Her instincts for her job are excellent, and we as a family want her to know that she was precious to us during this most difficult time.
From the moment we arrived at the ER of Chandler Regional, where our father was taken, we encountered many staff members. Being in shock, we did not know who was who, staff coming and going, everything was moving at record speed for us.
By late that evening, we were taken to the ICU area. Tired, hungry, confused we watched as our father lay helpless.
Nurse Julia entered the room quietly and began to attend to our father while we were talking to each other. She waited and then introduced herself. She seemed to have an unusual ability to care for us simultaneously. She immediately remembered our names. I was shocked .
With all she had, she cared. Julia cared for the whole room. Sincere care sees, it hears, it senses, and then it acts.
Over the next few days no matter what was going on with our dad, she stayed her course, she cared for all of us with compassion not ever walking into the room to just complete her tasks, but to care for the room.
It is a unique quality today for a young person to show so much mature compassion. She knew when to fade quietly in and out and when we needed a kind word of encouragement. Her instincts for her job are excellent, and we as a family want her to know that she was precious to us during this most difficult time.
Bravo, Julia! Keep that golden heart.
