During my recent hospitalization at Madigan, Julia Blum was my nurse. She worked so well with the entire medical team while always maintaining her professionalism. She was committed to helping me by being my advocate and providing exceptional care. She checked on me frequently even on the days she was not my nurse! Julia explained every step of my care and answered all of my questions in a way that I could understand. She listened with compassion as we discussed the recent death of my 50-year-old son, who died from a glioblastoma just three days before I was hospitalized. Julia provided comfort during a very difficult time in my life. For these reasons, Julia is a true DAISY Nurse.
