While J was a patient in the CVU, her mother was brought into the Emergency Department. J wanted to visit her mother, but she was unable to because she had a drip that prevented her from moving. J's nurse, Julia Skrlac, went out of her way to get a hold of her doctor so that she could discontinue the drip so that she could go to the ED to see her mother. Afterwards, when her mother got discharged from the ED, her mother came to the CVU to visit her daughter. By that time, not only was Julia going out of her way to treat J, she was getting bags of ice for her mother to treat her swollen eye.

I just witnessed first hand the mission of Mercy Health through actions of Julia. Even better, it was her genuine attitude towards the patient that makes me proud to work for this organization. Keep up the great work Julia.
