Juliana Kuntz a Junior II has a great passion for women and newborn nursing. During her Women's Health clinical rotation, she received numerous compliments from labor and delivery staff members at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was assisting a patient after an epidural with a nurse, when the patient precipitously delivered her baby's head without a provider in the room, which quickly escalated into an emergency shoulder dystocia. The student stayed calm and followed the nurse's instructions to go and call for help. Thankfully the baby was delivered healthy without further incident. I believe she deserves recognition and praise for her level of caring and assistance not only during this emergency situation, but throughout her Women's Health clinical rotation.
