Jules is by far THE BEST EDUCATOR we have had here in Women's Services. I have been here for over 16 years and can attest to that. Jules exemplifies all of the ICARE values of our organization. She mentors all our new hires along with the seasoned staff. She is very active in providing regular Team Simulations. If we have a complicated patient coming in she provides education prior to that patient's arrival so we can provide the best care for them. If a patient has had an uncommon diagnosis or unexpected outcome, she uses that information to provide extra simulations to educate the staff. If a staff member expresses interest in more education about any topic, Jules will follow up with that information and disseminate the information out to the staff. She regularly has skills fairs for our staff to practice using the equipment needed for critical patients. She regularly meets with our new staff to ensure they are receiving the education and orientation that they need while also providing additional information if they have not experienced some of the skills or patient conditions yet. She works closely with the managers to proactively determine the learning needs of the staff. She has such a calm demeanor that is very comforting to our staff, and they feel comfortable confiding in her and asking questions. I really cannot express all the great things she has done for our staff and our unit. It is endless.
