From the first time Julie visited my sister on hospice, she made us both feel comfortable and confident with the care she gave. My sister, C, felt a rapport almost immediately with Julie because Julie took the time to truly listen and follow through with what my sister needed and wanted. Julie even took time to sit with me and ask how I was doing and find out how she could be supportive to me as C's only caregiver. She cared not only for C's physical needs but also for her emotional and spiritual needs, even praying with her and sharing the love of Jesus with her. By doing so, she made an eternal difference for my sister and was a key person in helping C to be in heaven. She was also a mighty advocate for C in her physical care to the point that I once overheard her saying to someone on the phone, "I will move mountains for this family." And she did! Julie was an angel in human form to both my sister and me. There really are no words to express the depth of my gratitude to Julie, and to OSF for assuring your patients get such stellar care.
