Mary Immaculate Hospital's Labor and Delivery Department experienced an unexpected loss of an infant. Julie, along with K, came in that day to offer support to not only the patient but for all associates affected by this event. Julie then took it upon herself to take remembrance photos of this baby so his mother would have something to cherish. Julie not only showed professionalism but kindness and compassion in her photography. She created beautiful and thoughtful memories for this mother and family during their time of loss and sorrow. Julie is an extraordinary example of the qualities a DAISY recipient should possess: "Caring and kind, competent, compassionate, understanding, dedicated, and loving." Her compassion will forever be felt by this baby's family. Julie is a role model not only for all in The Birthplace but for all of us at Mary Immaculate Hospital.
