We have had the privilege of having Julie provide care for our son several times during our stay on 7A as he recuperates from his first of three scheduled open-heart surgeries. During his recovery, we, as parents, experience many highs and lows as his recovery goes through the inevitable roller coaster of good days and bad days. We are able to find comfort in Julie's extremely high level of care and attention to detail. Her ability to care for rather than just provide care to our son is something special to watch.
One particular day she identified that my wife needed a pick-me-up and suggested that she do an arts and crafts project that she designed and helped execute. This act of kindness changed the course of our stay, clearing the path for more projects and high spirited days. Her ability to constantly advocate for our son while caring for him and his entire family is second to none and exemplifies the type of healthcare professional we should all strive to be!
