SE writes, Julie has the most warm and amazing smile which welcomes everyone into each day. She loves her Veteran patient and goes above and beyond daily. She has championed the Alpha Stim bringing it into the PACT teams an encouraging all nurses to introduce it to their Veterans. She encourages us to tackle difficult tasks to document the process and share with each other to help make our days easier. She sits with her Veterans; she sees her Veteran's, hears them. She can tell a Veteran to straighten up and take better care of themselves with her special smile and they know her heart is with them. She demonstrates this to her coworkers, which sets the bar high to maintain her standards. She reinforces an amazing example of servitude to her patients and all her coworkers. She is always one of the first staff to arrive and one of the last to leave. She participates in orienting new PACT nurses with compassion, endless patience, and gifts us with her heart and knowledge. Her passion for doing her best shines every day. Julies has this amazing superpower of kindness and inclusivity. I believe she set the tone for expectations in PACT during orientation. She has made a difference in almost every PACT nurse as she contributes to our skill set, knowledge, and just daily reaffirmations of kindness. I know for myself, she impressed upon me what a difference a great PACT nurse can make for a Veteran. I will try to reach her every time. Julie deserves this DAISY Award because her legacy will live on in all of her coworkers.
