I recently delivered twin boys at PCRMC. I knew during the pregnancy I wanted to be as successful as I could with breastfeeding and spoke with Julie many months before delivery and asked for help with this. Julie told me she was there for me and together we will do this. I immediately felt confident that once I delivered, that I would have the help I needed and Julie most certainly did not disappoint. From the moment it was time to feed Julie was by my side helping my twins to start nursing and giving me all the advice and pointers she could to help us be successful with breastfeeding. Julie made it very clear that if I ever had trouble with nursing or had any questions that I could call her. She said over and over, "I am here for you and your babies" and I feel very confident that she meant every word.
Once the twins and I went home we had a little bit of trouble nursing. I was able to get in contact with Julie and she saw us in her lactation clinic in no time. What I appreciate most is each time the twins and I worked with Julie she made us feel as though we were the most important people to her at that time, and never once did she get distracted or disrupted from helping us. Julie shows true compassion for her job, and for a nervous, overwhelmed mother of not one but two babies. This trait of hers is very appreciated and not overlooked. Julie is a prime example of an extraordinary nurse. I am so grateful that she was and still is there for me and my twins. She definitely made our lives easier.
