I was in ICU for a bolt monitor and one of my nurses was named Julie. When the bolt was removed and I got the bad news that I was in low pressure and would have a cisternogram and myelogram done, I was alone, but she stood there and wiped my tears. She talked to me almost like I was her child and she was comforting me. She told me I could survive anything for a short amount of time, and as I was having the lumbar puncture done, I kept repeating that to myself, and that's what got me through it. She is an amazing nurse, and deserves recognition for it. I've had many nurses during my last 2 stays there, and she is the only one I can remember by name. She touched my heart and I will never forget her. Julie, if you read this, thank you so much for being my rock that day. You knew I had been through hell and you wiped my tears and held my hand. I won't ever forget the love and compassion you showed me that day. Thank you so very much.
