A student was experiencing some very challenging moments and although Julie wasn’t one of his professors at the moments, he knew he could count on her to assist him no matter how busy she is. Julie is constantly looking for creative, innovative ways to get students interested and involved. She is always approachable; and takes an interest in the other’s life. Julie is so positive in her approach to life , while never afraid to admit there are some very challenging situations. She looks for solutions within, as well as asking for help from her colleagues. Her smile is radiant; and so often she has made my day just by walking into my office. She is so devoted to her family, her God and her church and to ResU. To me, she is a role model, because she is a woman of principles, yet filled with compassion. She knows when to lighten up, as well as when to make the suggestions to improve. Julie deserves the Daisy Award not only for all that she does, but simply because of who she is.
