Julie was called to place a new line in me, which was not easy. She was so patient and eventually persevered 5 sticks later. Ultimately, the line was placed in my EJ, which was extremely nerve-wracking. Even though it was a challenging situation, I would have never known it, because she has the best bedside manner. I love her sense of humor. She kept me laughing the entire time. Julie is super easy to talk to and it's evident she knows her stuff, but what solidified my respect for Julie is something that occurred 4 years ago.
After Julie placed my IV last night, she said something that reminded me of my mom, and I began crying. Obviously, she was concerned and wanted to make sure I was OK. I admitted and expressed what happened and at that moment she remembered placing an IV on me four years ago. Four years ago, she made the same remark and I had the same reaction. Although the difference is, four years ago my mom had just recently passed, and I was extremely emotional. Julie was so kind then and so kind now. I was so impressed she remembered, and even flattered. I have so much respect for Julie and she is much deserving of this award. Please recognize her for she is a fantastic nurse.
