Julie Gerdes, RN

I would like to nominate my nurse, Julie Gerdes, for the extraordinary care she provided during one of the most difficult times of our lives. My birth was not easy, and recovery was even harder with our baby in the NICU, but Julie was a constant source of comfort, strength, and compassion. Her depth of knowledge, the way she cared for me, and the love she poured into every second of her work were truly beautiful. Just seeing her walk into the room gave me a sense of comfort I didn’t even know I needed. I knew I could get through this because she believed in me. Julie is one of the sweetest souls I have ever met, an absolute godsend, and I am endlessly grateful for her. She took time to sit with not only me but also my husband, supporting us emotionally and helping us cope through the hardest days. Even after I was discharged, she visited us in the NICU and made sure our little girl was doing well. Julie went above and beyond to ensure I was okay, and her kindness will stay with our family forever. She is everything a nurse should be and more.
