Nursing is an art and a science and when employed by a skilled practitioner, like Julie Grandolfo, can be a powerful force in healthcare and result in excellent care. Julie listened to our concerns, provided us with pertinent information, used humor when appropriate, and made that human connection; we knew we had a strong advocate, and he would be well cared for. She critically analyzed the diagnostic information and in tandem with the physicians developed a plan of care to meet his needs.
Watching Julie in action truly underscored the impact a skilled, experienced professional nurse can have on a patient's hospital experience, the delivery of excellent patient care, and positive outcomes.
