Nominated by a patient's family: My brother was in final stages of liver cancer. Once the decision was made to stop further treatment, Julie did everything humanly possible to make my brother and his family comfortable and have the dignity he so wanted to have. She even worked a double shift to make sure we were taken care of and secured a conference room for our family. Once she went home, my brother had to be moved to another room until Hospice had an opening. Julie made it a point to come down and check on us during her next shift. This meant the world to his wife.
Julie has gone above and beyond the call of duty to help my brother with his final journey. I am sure the Barnes Family would be honored for Julie representing their award.
