I am reaching out to pass along my experience recently with Nurse Julie, who cared for my mother-in-law while she was in the ER after a bad fall/concussion. Julie was absolutely incredible. I walked into the room to find her tenderly and gently cleaning dried blood off my MIL's face, who would not even remember the kind gesture. That type of integrity and compassion was immediately so touching and reassuring to witness, and I knew right away that we were in good hands.
For the rest of our long night in the ER, Julie was so attentive, calming, and skilled. Julie provided such an incredible level of care to our family while maintaining efficiency. She made us feel like she had all the time in the world to help us. She was even lighthearted with us when it was appropriate, which really helped relieve our stress. Julie had such an incredible bedside manner and repeatedly came to the lobby to keep me and other family members updated during various parts of my MIL's care that we decided to leave the room for.
Julie is such an incredible asset to your team and is exactly the type of person any patient would want to encounter when finding themselves in the ER. I have spent an unfortunate amount of time in hospitals lately, all across the country: Denver, St. Louis, etc. and I have not encountered any nurse or doctor quite as outstanding and special as Julie. I am so grateful that someone as compassionate and skilled is working in this profession. I can only imagine how challenging emotionally and physically that job would be to do, but I certainly am grateful that someone like Julie has chosen to. Thank you, Julie, for being so wonderful to me and my family during that rough time. You made all the difference, and your dedication and service are so appreciated.
