Julie was our nurse at the PeaceHealth Cancer Center. Julie knew something was wrong. Her caring, knowledge, and persistence and her close contact with our new doctor led to an Emergency Room visit, which saved my husband's life. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Julie Hooper. You saved a life yesterday. They tell me today is your last regularly scheduled day, and you are retiring after 45 years with the cancer center. I wanted to give you a hug, but in true Julie style, you were caring for patients when I stopped in to thank you! The pneumonia in L's lung is being treated, and he will be home tomorrow with a much lower heart rate and feeling way better than he has for many weeks. Great catch, and huge congratulations on 45 years of dedicated care to people like us.
