Julie exemplifies what the DAISY Award stands for. Julie is our clinical coordinator in the ED and she juggles the demands of patients and staff with a grace that is rarely seen. Her calm demeanor and "just get it done" attitude carries the staff through those very busy and difficult times. Julie comes in when we are short staffed so her team does not have to work short. She takes on new tasks - like ER charge review, Stemi Bypass Project, Dysphagia Training and gets them accomplished. Julie is a strong patient advocate. She works tirelessly to get her patients what they need - from a late night snack to clothes to wear home when theirs have been ruined. Julie is deserving of the DAISY Award and I thank you for the opportunity to honor her in this manner.
