My father was a recent patient in your Geriatric Psych Ward. I wanted to tell you how pleased my mom and I were with the care, kindness, and compassion we received from the staff on the 4th floor.
One nurse, in particular, Julie Knop, was outstanding. She always took the time to chat with us, update us and answer all questions we had. She made it seem like she had all the time in the world to spend with us. I learned a great deal about Alzheimer's from her and I am eternally grateful for that. She is so calm and reassuring when she speaks with families. She even came to visit my dad when he was transferred to the 5th floor where he received hospice support.
He recently passed away and I am extremely grateful for the expertise of Julie and your staff in his final days! You probably get a lot of emails about what is not going well, well this is an email about things that are going amazingly well.
